I refuse to just blindly follow anyone… all that #ff and #tt stuff has become spam in my tweet stream and those that send them out like that have me wondering if they really know those ppl or are just looking for followers themselves!

Quality over quantity is what I say, especially to sm biz owners on twitter, sometimes I wish we could just end the whole #FF thing and do real referrals!
Some might look at my numbers and think I do not believe that, but I've been on twitter a year!

Totally agree! It gets irritating when I logon and my whole Twitter stream is full of #FollowFriday tweets with no reasoning – sometimes I'll get a giant group of Tweets like that from the same person. I think #FollowFriday needs an upgrade. If you are going to participate, please recommend a person and give us WHY you recommend them. Too many just #FollowFriday someone because they did it for you. Be honest about your referrals, just as you would in person!
